HGTV's John Gidding to speak at 2013 PA Garden Expo

PHILADELPHIA - The 2013 PA Garden Expo welcomes John Gidding, host of HGTV’s Curb Appeal, as the featured speaker at this year's show.

John Gidding, who is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, got his start as a fashion model and worked the runways for Armani and Gucci. On Curb Appeal John visits and assesses a homes exterior condition and then creates masterful computer-generated visualizations exploring how a house's outside "curb appeal" will be updated. Changes include painting, landscaping, and fences, as well as pruning or removing overgrown shrubs and trees.

He has also worked as a lead designer on HGTV’s popular series Designed to Sell. Gidding has become one of the country's most recognizable and well-respected authorities on landscaping and exterior home design.

Gidding holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from Yale University along with a Master's Degree in architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.

Gidding will be featured on the CVM Suburu Presentation Stage on Sunday, Feb. 24. He will be doing a presentation followed by a meet and greet session for attendees at the show.

The 2013 show promises to be bigger and even more beautiful than the last with more than 40,000 square feet of magnificent, professionally-landscaped gardens, hundreds of shopping options, hands-on demonstrations, outdoor design experts and national and local celebrity guests.

Ticket prices for one-day general Admission are $10 presale online and $13 per person at the door. Weekend passes are also available for $20. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free of charge.
