FLUSHING, N.Y. – Zheng Zhong Auction Inc., which focuses on Asian works of art and the promotion of Chinese history and culture, will conduct just such an auction on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 4 p.m. EST (1 p.m. Pacific). The most highly regarded antique in the sale is a gilt bronze “parrot” jar, which carries an estimate of $180,000-$200,000. The starting bid for this item is $90,000. Additional highlighs include: Lot 393 – Scroll, signed Qi Gong, unmounted. Estimate: $3,000-$3,500. Lot 307 – Map of China, 1855. Estimate: $50,000-$60,000. Lot 235 – Rosewood armchair.
